Mood, Serotonin and Beta-Endorphins

Mood instability during perimenopause is partly linked to oestrogen's role in serotonin production. Heat exposure increases beta-endorphin release, the same neurochemicals triggered by exercise. Regular sauna users often describe improved mood, reduced anxiety, and a stronger sense of calm.
